The Denver International Airport Culture and Strategy division is currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join the team. As part of the DEN Chief of Staff portfolio, the Culture & Strategy Division is responsible for leading DEN's efforts in five key areas impacting the entire organization and our stakeholders: DEN Strategic Plan, Equity & Inclusion, Continuous Improvement, Wellness Program and DEN's Commerce Hub. The Senior Data Analyst will report to the Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity contribute to DEN's success through the following job responsibilities:

  • Build strong trustworthy working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and a wide range of stakeholders and customers
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and develop analytic opportunities to bolster engagement opportunities, reduce risk and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across DEN
  • Support development of a performance-based enterprise-level strategic plan including developing tools to incorporate key measures to support decision making and accurate stakeholder reporting
  • Assist in the development of an interactive data environment for DEN; Support efforts to create robust performance measurement models that provide insight into the relationship between individual, division and enterprise level strategic goals
  • Develop methods for collecting and managing large data sets across disparate systems and sources that allow for the efficient analysis, storage, and retrieval of data measures
  • Create and deliver effective skills-based training for teams across DEN in the use of data analysis and associated tools to support operational management and decision-making
  • Participate in and manage Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives utilizing the DEN CI framework

About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidates passionate about elevating the use of data and helping bring others on the journey to help make long-lasting, system-wide improvement. Candidates who can work autonomously and are comfortable with project ambiguity. In addition, candidates that appreciate collaboration and the need to drive work to completion within stated timelines. The successful candidate must be able to translate complex data analyses into actionable information for a broad range of audiences within and outside the DEN Enterprise.

Additional technical skills include:

  • Proficient in SQL/SQL Server, Stata/R/JMP/SAS, and/or other data analytics tools
  • Development and maintenance of effective reporting mechanisms to include live data dashboarding utilizing software such as Microsoft PowerBI

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: Three (3) years of data analytics experience
  • Licensures/Certification(s): None
  • Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education; Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements

FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
