Lead Academic Advising Systems Administrator, Instructional and Information Technology Services (2020-1637)

CSUSM has adopted and implemented various systems and tools to support advisors and students in student success and progress to degree completion. The incumbent will be the team lead providing information technology consultation, training,and support of these eAdvising systems and tools. The incumbent will oversee the encoding process and all activities required to ensure its accuracy and integrity, and as relates to them, will have shared responsibility for the oversight in the maintenance, modification and upgrades within the campus Student Information System, PeopleSoft Oracle Campus Solutions-Student, focusing on Academic Advising, Catalog, and Student Records. The incumbent will work closely with management, technical staff, functional staff, and faculty to assess, formulate, and evaluate the impact of recommended or implemented policies from a strategic and operational perspective. The work requires facilitating and actively participating in meetings and committees that impact eAdvising systems and tools. Additional areas of focus include supporting and providing the reporting needs of the campus that leverage eAdvising data as well as user training for faculty and staff on use and function of eAdvising tools and systems.
