Position Overview:

We seek a data breach response analyst to investigate and respond to potential data breach events. This position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people, and work within a diverse environment. It will require periodic availability during non-business hours.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an attention to detail, have strong analytical and process management skills, and possess a strong desire to promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative climate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Investigate reports of potential data breaches.
  • Coordinate with security and privacy leaders and legal counsel to determine investigation outcomes.
  • Manage breach notification process.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of privacy controls and recommend improvements, as needed, to reduce the risk of recurrence
  • Track data breach investigation metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data breach investigation and response processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable data breach and privacy laws, standards, and trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant work experience or a comparable combination of education, training, and/or experience in a technology-related field.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in one of the following:
    • Information Technology and/or Information Security
    • Privacy and/or Compliance
    • Risk Management
    • IT Audit
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to understand and problem solve complex issues
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, and to manage risk and uncertainty.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
